Our Level 3 Food Safety in Catering qualification is aimed at supervisors, team leaders and line managers working in the catering industry, including those working in care. The topics covered by this course are regarded by the Food Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice in the production of safe food.

- Food Related Illnesses
- Control Contamination and Cross-Contamination
- Personal Hygiene
- Cleaning, Disinfection and Waste Disposal
- Design of Food Premises and Equipment
- Staff Training
The food safety course takes place over 3 days.
Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm
This qualification is assessed through a 60 multiple-choice question exam for which you are allowed 2 hours.
All candidates will receive a handbook to guide them through their food safety both during the course and back in the workplace. All successful candidates will receive a certificate specifying their qualification shortly after attending their course.
The Level 3 Food Safety qualification is advised to be re taken every 3 years in order to keep each candidate refreshed in the subject and to retain best practise. This can be taken as a two day refresher course as long as the certificate is still valid.
