Updated Anaphylaxis Training — Allergy Safety
As part of our commitment to childcare safety, we have extended our Blended Paediatric First Aid practical day to include anaphylaxis and allergy emergency training, including recognition of severe allergic reactions and appropriate emergency response.
This means learners receive comprehensive, up-to-date training on recognising and managing severe allergic reactions in children — including the correct use of auto-injectable adrenaline (AAI devices such as EpiPens) — helping childcare settings meet their legal duties under the new legislation.
Anaphylaxis and allergy safety
Early years settings should have appropriate procedures for children with severe allergies. This training helps staff recognise anaphylaxis, follow their setting's emergency procedures and understand the use of prescribed adrenaline auto-injectors.
Our updated Paediatric First Aid course ensures your team is fully prepared and legally compliant, giving parents and Ofsted inspectors complete confidence in your setting's allergy emergency procedures.
Who Is This Course For?
EYFS Requirement: The Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework requires all registered childcare providers to have at least one member of staff who holds a full Paediatric First Aid certificate on the premises at all times.
