Legal Requirement: The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to provide adequate first aid provision. An EFAW-trained first aider is the minimum requirement for many workplaces.

What You'll Learn
- Understand the role of the emergency first aider and relevant legislation
- Manage an unresponsive adult, infant, or child casualty
- Perform CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Manage a choking adult, infant, or child effectively
- Control severe bleeding and treat for shock
- Provide first aid for minor injuries: burns, scalds, and wounds
- Place a casualty in the recovery position
- Recognise and respond to anaphylaxis and medical emergencies
